On the edge of The Wild Field...

My super talented friend Andrei Riabovitchev has posted his Cossack painting on his blog. And I thought: Aha! I have something to answer! Here you go, see :) Funny, but 16 years ago I did a very similar composition. Different style, different part of Russian history though... And this one was done for a graphic novel, not for a vodka label :o)

:) yeah, in 1380, I did this life drawing :o)
To Lena:
No, this is neither about Oleg or Vladimir. This illustration is the title page from a small graphic novel I did 16 years ago. And that was based on a first chapter of a big book - Dikoe Pole.
